Altar Guild

The Altar Guild is one of the oldest organizations in the Episcopal Church.  At St. Stephen’s, the Guild is independent and self-funding, operating under the direction and guidance of our clergy.  The members of the Altar Guild prepare the altar and surrounding areas of the church for worship.  Guild members enjoy the task of decorating the whole church for Easter and Christmas.

They beautify the altar, clean the chalices, maintain the linens, provide floral offerings and polish the brass candlesticks.

They are looking for membership to increase to 60 members.  The goal is to have teams of 5 members work one month a year.

Consider joining this group and feel the honor of setting the table of Our Lord while assisting our clergy in whatever way possible.
