The Lay Eucharistic Visitors provide Sunday communion to parishioners who are home-bound, confined to nursing homes, or receiving treatment in local hospitals.  Their purpose is to directly connect these recipients to the Saint Stephen’s worship services, reassure them that they remain an important part of our community, and provide prayer support. 

Schedules for members are designed to provide communion on a monthly basis.  The Lay Eucharistic Visitor is commissioned at the altar following general communion and then departs to provide communion to the designated recipients as promptly as possible.  Special hospital or home visits are made whenever the need arises.

We continue to need members to help provide this important ministry to our needy parishioners
