Holy Land Pilgrimage
The goal of the religious quest has always been an experience, not a message. Pilgrims on “the Way” are promised an encounter when they prepare to follow after Jesus. Christian historian Eusebius (264-340) had little interest in sacred space until he visited “the tomb.” “The sight of the tomb spoke louder than all words.” To see and touch the places associated with Jesus’ humanity prompts a powerful symbol of God’s link with the world.
